What is the "Boost Mode" in the Cavitron with SPS?

VIDEO TUTORIAL:

Several 30K Cavitron models with SPS technology include a convenient "Boost" feature. When power is set within the lower third of it's range, a linear increase in output power can be conveniently engaged by depressing the foot control down into its second position. Boost power becomes less noticeable as the main power control dial is increased into the higher power range, and is therefore typically used during delicate procedures with the power dial set in the "Blue Zone" - lower third of the range. The Cavitron's yellow Boost Light will illuminate when boost power has been engaged.

NOTE: In Cavitron Jet combination systems, the Boost Light will not remain illuminated when engaging the Prophy-Jet air polishing mode. This is not a malfunction.

It is not recommended to operate any Cavitron for extended periods of time in the Boost Mode. Damage to electronic components may result from prolonged use.
